I know a day late. Now before you criticize Scott he did fill out his selective
card as all guys have to do. Scott just wasn't called up because their wasn't a war in his time. But Scott has all the respect for those who did. My father served in during the Vietnam War.
Here is my dad a Captain in the Air Force. He was never called up. Dad volunteered because he knew his number would come up. Dad was navigator , before navigation tools in plains. He almost did not make it out they got in some pretty tight situations. I'm not sure why dad did not like this picture. I know he was proud of his service. Maybe it is because of the criticism his brother in laws , draft dodging brothers gave him for serving. That really hurt his feelings. We all in America need to learn to respect other's decisions when it comes to military duties and not look down on them. People make the choices that are right for them and sometimes they do not get the opportunity for various reasons.
